GARLICKY- STEAMED GREEN BEANS
Serves 2
Ingredients:
1/2 lbs green beans, washed and trimmed
1-2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
4 garlic cloves sliced
a few squirts of lemon juice
salt and pepper to taste optional
Directions:
- In a large pot, add about 1/2 cup water and heat to boiling.
- Dump prepared green beans in boiling water.
- Cover and steam until tender, about 5-1 minutes. - Pour out remaining water.
- Make space in middle of the pan and heat extra virgin olive oil over medium heat.
- Add the sliced garlic and cook for about 1-2 minutes. When you begin to smell the garlic, it's done (Be careful not to burn the garlic).
- Mix beans with garlic in pan to combine.
- Add a few squirts of lemon juice and that's it. Serve immediately.
