Building a realistic vision of your farm business, including what you really need to get started (it’s less than you think).

Efficient field layout design and field maps: Greenhouse, packing shed, equipment storage, well size, high tunnels, low tunnels, etc.
What you need to build and when to get running.
Crop rotation and fertility plan: Where to plant what and maps for reference during growing season.
Develop a crop rotation and soil fertility plan in alignment with organic standards.

Record keeping: what records to keep, how to maintain them, how to prepare to use them to complete your taxes, and more.
Marketing and pricing plan: Who are your selling to and how? How much to charge, etc.
Organic certification set up: File paperwork, maintain records during season and go through initial inspection
Year end reflections/how to improve: Important reflection for analyzing harvest records, what did well/didn’t do well, work to be better next season, etc.
