Meet farmer travis

Travis has long been an appreciator of delicious foods and has supported Beth’s farming journey along the way. He left a job in IT in June of 2022 when his own farming passions began to percolate, having raised chickens and pigs on our homestead for a number of years.

He has taken many trainings from his mentor Brandon Sheard at Farmstead Meatsmith, which has informed his animal raising, harvesting, and home butchery.

He is passionate about right-scaled raising of sustainable animals, harvesting them artfully and well on the domestic scale, and receiving the full harvest for the family table. Travis has long been an educator and is expanding his love of animal husbandry to the education realm to empower others to raise and harvest their animals.
