Fudgy Lard Brownies

Ingredients:

3/4 c. sugar

1/3 c. cocoa powder

1/2 c. AP flour

1/4 tsp. salt

1/4 tsp. baking powder

1/2 cup lard, melted

2 eggs

1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:

Preheat the oven to 350.

Combine sugar, cocoa, flour, salt, and baking powder in a bowl.

In another bowl, combine lard, eggs and vanilla.

Fold wet mixture into the dry until combined. Be sure not to over mix!

Here, you can add in any extras you’d like: nuts, chocolate chips, etc

Pour the batter into a greased 9 x 9 pan.

Bake in the oven for about 20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
