BUTTERED WHITE SALAD TURNIPS AND BUTTER
Ingredients:
White Salad Turnips
Butter
Stalk of Green Garlic
Salt & Pepper
Directions:
Slice turnips thinly (shoot for <1/4 inch) and slice green garlic into thin medallions.
Heat your pan over medium heat (any higher and your butter will probably smoke) Once hot, put a tablespoon or two of butter in the pan, swirl it around and let it melt, then add your turnips and sprinkle with salt.
Cover and do not touch for 2-3 minutes, remove cover, mix around (they should be nice and browned on one side now).
Toss in your garlic, add a bit more salt, sauté until your turnips are soft enough and your garlic is browned.
Add pepper, give it a final stir and it’s done.
