TOMATO TART WITH SCALLION CREAM CHEESE & EVERYTHING SPICE

By the Leek and the Carrot

Ingredients:

4 oz. cream cheese

1/2 bunch scallions, sliced

2 tsp. toasted sesame seeds

2 tsp. minced onion flakes

1/2 tsp sea salt

1/4 tsp red pepper flakes

1/4 tsp pepper

4 slices sourdough toast

1 beefsteak or heirloom tomato, cut into 1/2 inch thick slices

Directions:

Combine the cream cheese and scallions in a small bowl. Stir until smooth.

In a very small bowl, combine sesame seeds, onion flakes, salt, red pepper flakes, and pepper.

Spread cream cheese mixture evenly on pieces of toast. Add a thick slice of tomato. Sprinkle with spice mixture.
