2019 Storage CSA Share
2019 Storage CSA Share
Eating locally and sustainably produced vegetables year round in a climate like Wisconsin’s can be a challenge. Thankfully there are many yummy, healthy vegetables that can be stored in the colder months, as well as a variety of greens that can withstand some frosty conditions.
Storage shares include a mixture of some greens, like spinach or kale, and a generous amount of storage-able items like: carrots, Brussels sprouts, potatoes, winter squash, beets, sweet potatoes, onions, garlic, parsnips, beauty heart and daikon radishes, leeks, celeriac and celery, rutabaga, maybe broccoli and more! It all depends on the weather and how late the frost comes.
This will be two large shares delivered Oct. 22nd and Nov. 5th, 2019. It will be two full sized share boxes so get some room ready in that fridge. I will email folks who sign up for this share with more information for delivery and pick up as the time gets closer and the season winds down.
